Curriculum Model Designs cc (CURMO Designs cc CK95/17204/23) was established in 1995 by Drs WP and MM Burger and several products for application in the development environment were developed. Both directors had many years of experience in education, teacher training, research and development and were regarded as experts in their respective fields of application. 
Responding to a need for adult educators and trainers, the organisation offered Adult Practitioner Certificate courses. Initially, training was conducted in cooperation with the Faculty of Agricultural and thereafter with the Faculty of Education, University of Pretoria. These faculties also conducted certification. In 2002 CURMO Designs cc was accredited as provider with the ETDP Seta.
According to new requirements of the Higher Education (Act No. 101 of 1997 as amended) the business format of the organisation has recently been changed to a Company. Furthermore, application was made for registration at the Department of Education and for accreditation at the Committee for Higher Education.
When needed, the organisation draws expertise and capacity from a network of associates.
