Research and Needs Assessment:
CURMO offers expertise in educational and (economic/community) development research. A tested and flexible instrument is used for effective assessment of development status and needs. It provides for qualitative and quantitative dimensions and data interpretation. The organisation has done extensive research and model development on economic development issues.
Project Management:
CURMO assists clients in the planning and management of development projects. It offers models in accelerated socio-economic community development, building local leadership and capacity in order to access opportunities. Experts provide advisory services on all aspects of project planning, implementation and monitoring.
Development of Learning Support Materials:
CURMO directors have extensive experience in textbook writing and programme development. They offer expertise in development of learning support materials based on various learning approaches. Leaning programmes usually include Learner Modules, Portfolio Activities and Facilitator and Assessor Manuals.
Teacher support:
We provide training and support to teachers in Agricultural Sciences (re applications of Agricultural Sciences for all Grades 10 - 12/also to Afrikaans users of the Macmillan/CURMO Series) and to teachers in Business Studies (re applications of Viva Business Studies Grades 10 -12)(VIvlia/CURMO Series). Support will be in terms of understanding the curriculum, OBE methodologies, assessment design and any other classroom application and assessment issues.
Training:
CURMO offers full qualifications e.g. the National Certificate in ABET Practice (NQF L4), National Higher Certificate in ABET Practice (NQF Level 5) and National Diploma in ABET Practice (NQF L5), as well as NQF aligned skills courses or as required by clients. More on our courses HERE
New venture creation:
Experts offer entrepreneurial training programmes and implement community economic development models. A wide range of entrepreneurship training materials is available and custom-made materials arte developed for clients, including outcome-based assessments, facilitator guides and assessor guides.
NQF Advisory Services, Learning Programme Design and Assessment Services:
Curriculum experts offer services in the design of NQF aligned learning programmes, delivery strategies and assessment practice.
When needed, the organisation draws expertise and capacity from a network of associates. It has now also entered into a joint venture agreement with MKZ Business Development Services to form a Joint Business Academy, with head office in Puthaditjaba. The focus of the joint venture is entrepreneurial development, training in entrepreneurial and management skills and business support.
